Easter Egg Fail

A few days ago someone gave me a packet of organic egg dye. It had instructions printed on the outside, but no indication as to what colour it might be. Intrigued, I decided to give it a go.

I placed the eggs into a stainless steel pot and covered them with cold water.

While the water heated up, the content of the anonymous packet was poured in. It turned out to be green (of all colours! GREEN :( ), and emitted a very strange smell.

And this is the final result: somewhat green eggs.

Needless to say I’m not too impressed. But I’ve learned my lesson. From  now on, I will be less inclined to accept free gifts (especially when it comes to unlabelled egg dye), and will buy coloured eggs from the supermarket round the corner. Saves washing up and trying to get rid of that awful smell. On that note, Happy Easter everyone!
