As panettone was mentioned a few times in our last post, we decided to share our favourite panettone recipe – tried, tested and loved.
Here’s what you’ll need for one panettone:
600 gr cake flour
150 gr castor sugar
1 tsp. quick yeast
a pinch of salt
150 ml warm water
200 gr softened butter
What to do:
Mix together the flour, sugar, yeast, salt and water. Then work the eggs into the dough, stir in the butter and raisins. Bring the dough together and roll it into a ball. Leave to rise for 24 hours.
Lightly oil your baking tin and line it with parchment paper. Knead the dough, place it in the tin, and leave to rise for two hours.
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius, and bake for 20 minutes.
Shout-out to Teresa and Alberto for this recipe. Grazie mille, cari amici, e buon natale!
